NEW YORK — Rick Riordan, whose best-selling adventure books, including The Red Pyramid and The Lost Hero, have found new uses for mythology, was named author of the year in voting by 524,000 young readers Monday night.

We have a reader in our house who is very excited about the new one just coming out. Riordan has totally captured her imagination in book after book- well deserved honor!
ReplyDeleteI saw Rick Riordan give an author talk in Waterbury a couple of years ago and it was so fun. He read part of his book, asked trivia questions and signed books. I loved the Percy Jackson series and hope to read one of his newer books soon!
